Restoration of My Noble Country...

Today, a strange Western man had come into my country. His name, Commodore Matthew C. Perry. I had an idea of his intentions of trade with our country, and this intrigued me quite so. This man had appeared in large ships, armed with technology that I have never seen before. His many reasons and products intrigued us, so we agreed to have trade with America. With my many advisiors, I shall here by have a goal for my darling country of Japan. My countrywill now attempt to combine their western advances with our easturn values.
